DAY 1. VIENNA:
Welcome to Vienna, one of Europe’s most elegant capitals and the perfect place to begin your Christmas journey. Upon arrival, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your premium hotel. In the evening, meet your fellow travellers during a traditional Austrian Welcome Dinner at the famous Marchfelderhof Restaurant. Enjoy local cuisine, drinks and warm Austrian hospitality in a unique festive atmosphere. Overnight in Vienna.
DAY 2. VIENNA:
After breakfast, discover Vienna during a panoramic sightseeing tour. Travel along the magnificent Ringstrasse and admire the State Opera, Parliament, City Hall, Hofburg Palace and the beautiful Belvedere Gardens before visiting St. Stephen’s Cathedral and the historic city centre. The highlight of the day is a visit to Vienna’s famous Christmas Market at Rathausplatz. Surrounded by festive lights, beautifully decorated wooden stalls and the scent of roasted almonds and mulled wine, this is one of Europe’s most magical Christmas experiences. The afternoon is at leisure. An optional classical concert is available. Overnight in Vienna.
DAY 3. VIENNA – OBERNDORF – SALZBURG:
This morning, travel towards Salzburg. Before arriving, enjoy one of the most memorable experiences of the journey: a visit to Oberndorf, birthplace of the world-famous Christmas carol Silent Night. Visit the Silent Night Chapel and the charming Christmas Market. Guests also have the opportunity to send Christmas cards from the special Silent Night Post Office using its unique commemorative postmark. Continue to Salzburg for your overnight stay.
DAY 4. SALZBURG:
Discover Salzburg, the city of Mozart and one of Europe’s most beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Sites. During your guided tour, admire Mozart’s Birthplace, the Cathedral, the impressive Fortress and the charming historic centre. Later, experience the famous Salzburg Christmas Market at Domplatz and Residenzplatz, regarded as one of the oldest and most beautiful Christmas markets in the world. The remainder of the day is free to enjoy the festive atmosphere. Overnight.
DAY 5. SALZBURG – INNSBRUCK:
Depart Salzburg and travel through the Austrian Alps. Visit the spectacular Swarovski Crystal Worlds, an extraordinary artistic experience combining imagination, light and crystal design. Continue to Innsbruck, the historic capital of Tyrol, beautifully surrounded by snow capped mountains. Overnight in Innsbruck.
DAY 6. INNSBRUCK:
This morning, explore Innsbruck during a guided city tour. Visit the famous Golden Roof, the Imperial Palace and the Court Church before strolling through the medieval Old Town. Later, enjoy one of Austria’s most charming Christmas Markets, where traditional wooden stalls, handcrafted gifts and seasonal delicacies create an unforgettable festive atmosphere. Overnight in Innsbruck.
DAY 7. INNSBRUCK- NEUSCHWANSTEIN – OBERAMMERGAU- MUNICH:
Travel into Bavaria to visit the spectacular Neuschwanstein Castle, the fairy-tale masterpiece built by King Ludwig II and one of Germany’s most iconic landmarks. Continue through the picturesque village of Oberammergau, famous worldwide for its Passion Play tradition, before visiting the beautiful Benedictine Abbey of Ettal. Later, arrive in Munich. Overnight.
DAY 8. MUNICH:
Discover Munich, the vibrant capital of Bavaria. Your guided city tour includes the Frauenkirche, historic churches, elegant boulevards and the famous Marienplatz. Enjoy time at Munich’s traditional Christmas Market, considered one of Germany’s finest, where festive decorations, local specialties and handcrafted gifts create the perfect conclusion to your Christmas journey. The market is also home to Germany’s largest Nativity Market. Overnight in Munich.
DAY 9. DEPART MUNICH:
After breakfast, transfer to Munich Airport for your departure.
