21 Days/20 Nights

ITINERARY:

Day 1 – Lima

Arrival in Lima, the Peruvian capital, and transfer to your hotel.

Day 2 – Lima

Enjoy a biking tour through Lima’s historic center, including lunch and stops at Plaza de Armas, Aliaga Mansion, MALI, and the San Francisco Convent with its catacombs. End with a relaxing coastal ride.

Optional: Bike & Food Tour of Chorrillos.

Day 3 – Lima – Paracas

Travel by public bus along the Pacific coast to Paracas, a charming fishing village. Afternoon at leisure.

Optional: Visit the Paracas National Reserve or tour Ica and its Regional Museum.

Day 4 – Paracas – Nasca

Take an eco-friendly boat tour to the Ballestas Islands, home to sea lions and seabirds. Continue by bus to Nasca.

Day 5 – Nasca – Arequipa

Visit the Maria Reiche Museum and the Nazca viewing platform to see three of the mysterious Nazca Lines.

Optional: Scenic overflight of the Nazca Lines.

In the afternoon, take a public bus to Arequipa.

Day 6 – Arequipa

Explore the “White City” on a walking tour including San Camilo Market and the Santa Catalina Monastery, a city within a city. Visit a local orphanage to learn about community work.

Day 7 – Arequipa

Day at leisure.

Optional: Gastronomic tour of Arequipa for an immersive culinary experience.

Day 8 – Arequipa – Colca Canyon

Begin a 3-day Colca Canyon excursion with stops at Aguada Blanca National Park and the volcano viewpoint. Lunch included. Afternoon at leisure to relax in natural hot springs.

Day 9 – Colca Canyon

Day at leisure.

Optional: Visit to the Sibayo community with a traditional Andean lunch.

Day 10 – Colca Canyon – Puno

Morning visit to the Condor Cross and the Andean villages of Maca and Yanque before transferring to Puno on the shores of Lake Titicaca.

Day 11 – Puno (Amantani Homestay)

Depart by boat to the Uros floating islands, then continue to Amantani Island. Enjoy a community homestay, traditional lunch, and an evening of folk dancing. Dinner included.

Day 12 – Puno

Return to Puno by boat, stopping at Taquile Island for lunch and a cultural experience.

Day 13 – Puno – Cusco

Scenic drive to Cusco with visits to Pukara, Raqchi ruins, and Andahuaylillas Church, known as the “Sistine Chapel of the Andes.” Lunch included.

Day 14 – Cusco

Walking city tour of Cusco including Plaza de Armas, Koricancha (Temple of the Sun), and San Blas artisan district.

Optional: Visit the Cusco Planetarium.

Day 15 – Cusco – Sacred Valley

Visit Awana Kancha to learn about Andean weaving, the Cochahuasi Animal Sanctuary, and Pisac Market where you’ll take part in an empanada-making workshop.

Day 16 – Sacred Valley (Community Stay)

Transfer to Pumamarca, then hike to Huilloc with a shaman ceremony en route. Participate in community activities and enjoy a traditional Andean lunch and dinner. Overnight with local families.

Day 17 – Sacred Valley

Morning visit to a local school in Urubamba, followed by exploration of Chinchero and a weaving community. Hike to Urquillos, following an ancient Inca trail past small waterfalls.

Day 18 – Sacred Valley – Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu

Transfer to Ollantaytambo to visit a local family home before boarding the train to Aguas Calientes. Visit the breathtaking Machu Picchu ruins with a guided tour. Overnight in Aguas Calientes.

Day 19 – Aguas Calientes – Cusco

Morning at leisure for a second visit to Machu Picchu or hike to Mandor Waterfalls. Afternoon train back to Cusco.

Day 20 – Cusco

Day at leisure.

Optional: Horseback riding in the Andean countryside or downhill mountain biking.

Day 21 – Cusco

Transfer to the airport for your departure flight. End of tour.
