Day 1: Guatemala City Airport-Hotel

Upon arrival and transfer to selected hotel in Guatemala City for accommodations.

Day 2: Guatemala City- Quiriguá – Río Dulce

Breakfast. Departure to QUIRIGUA, is one of the smallest Mayan Cities, but one of the most notable due to its splendid series of monuments. Most likely founded in the Late Pre-Classic era and flourished until the 10th century until Quiriguá was abandoned for unknown reasons. The archaeological site of Quiriguá contains the largest stela ever discovered in the Mayan world. At indicated time, transfer to Río Dulce. Accommodations

Day 3: Río Dulce-Livingston-Flores

Breakfast, Transfer to Rio Dulce, departs in boats to the visit the village with Garifuna origins, Livingstone with his music reggae and punta, coconut bread, etc. To continue with the boat ride, we arrive upward the river, you are able to appreciate vegetation and a natural canyon. The boat will lead you through the canals. Then, you will arrive to Rio Dulce, where you will also visit Castillo de San Felipe de Lara and be able to appreciate a panoramic tour, this castle was built in XVII Century by Spanish to avoid looting in warehouses, which were located at the shore of the lake. Later on, we lead ourselves to visit la Ciudad de Flores. Accommodations.

Day 4: Flores-Tikal-Flores-Guatemala City

Breakfast. At indicated time, you will be transferred to Tikal to visit the main Plaza and the Temple of the Great Jaguar, central acropolis, Mundo Perdido and temple IV from where you can observe the majesty of the city and the emerald green jungle. After lunch (included – no drinks), transfer to the Mundo Maya International to aboard the flight to return to Guatemala City. Upon arrival and transfer to the selected hotel for accommodations.

Day 5: Guatemala City-Chichicastenango-Lake Atitlán

Breakfast. Transfer from your hotel to the Guatemalan Highlands along the Panamerican Highway to Chichicastenango, a quiche Indian town surrounded by hills and mountains that jealously keep the inhabitants’ traditions, as they melt their pre-Hispanic and catholic rituals at the 400 years old church of Santo Tomas, built on the remains of a Mayan Temple. Here, market days, Thursdays and Sundays, acquire great meaning and smoky incense impregnates the atmosphere with mysticism and religiosity. People barter their product and the market explodes with color, tradition, and folklore. At indicated time, transfer to Panajachel, a village located on the shores of Lake Atitlan. Considered as one of the most beautiful lakes around the world, surrounded by three volcanoes Atitlan, Tolman, and San Pedro that are protecting the lake. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred to the Hotel for accommodations.

Day 6: Boat Ride San Juan La Laguna Lake Atitlán-Antigua Guatemala

Breakfast. At indicated time, you will enjoy a morning boat trip to San Juan La Laguna, this village is of Cackchiquel origin and its inhabitants are mainly fishermen and farmers, as well as textile manufacturers. At indicated time, transfer from Panajachel to Antigua Guatemala.

Day 7: Antigua Guatemala Half Day

Breakfast. Departure from your hotel to visit Antigua Guatemala. There you will visit the Colonial Monuments of Antigua Guatemala, declared Cultural Heritage of Humanity and considered one of the most beautiful colonial cities of America, during the colonial period was the capital of the Kingdom of Guatemala that included the southern provinces of Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica; political, cultural, religious, economic center of the Central American area, the city stopped its march after the earthquake in 1773, the city was uninhabited and then moved to the Nueva Guatemala de la Asunción (official name of Guatemala City). Continue visiting the Jade factory and the handicraft market. At the end of the tour, return to the hotel for accommodations.

Day 8 Antigua Guatemala-Airport

Breakfast. At indicated time, transfer to Airport for boarding a regular flight that will take you home.
