Itinerary
Day 1. Thessaloniki
Upon arrival at the Thessaloniki airport our friendly staff will transfer you to your hotel. Balance of day at leisure.
Day 2. Thessaloniki
Morning half day Thessaloniki city tour includes visit to Agia Sophia, Agios Dimitrios, Archaeological museum, Arch of Galerius and the White Tower.
Day 3. Thessaloniki-Mount Athos
Transfer to Chalkidiki port to embark your cruise. We will see 8 monasteries until the borders of Mount Athos. After cruise transfer back to Thessaloniki.
Day 4. Thessaloniki-Vergina-Pella
Drive to Vergina, the place of the Royal Tombs, where we see the King’s mausoleum and the famous museum with finds of the Tombs of King Philippos II, father of Alexander the Great. We continue to Pella native town of Alexander the Great. You will have the chance to see findings aged from 4th century BC.
Day 5. Amphipolis-Kavala-Philippi
Admire the glory of Philippi archaeological site and its incredible ruins, which reveal the glory of this ancient Macedonian city.Nearby is Lydia’s Baptistry, reputedly the location of Europe’s first babtism performed by the Apostle Paul. The Tour ends with a visit to the tomb of Amphipolis.
Day 6. Thessaloniki
Day at leisure.
Day 7. Thessaloniki
Our friendly staff will transfer you to the airport for your return flight home.
