Itinerary:
Day 01 – Lima
Arrival in Lima and transfer to the hotel.
Day 02 – Lima
Half day city tour with visit to Larco Herrera Museum.
Day 03 – Lima – Cusco
Flight to Cusco. Half day city tour and visit to the ruins surrounding Cusco.
Day 04 – Cusco – Machu Picchu – Cusco
Visit to Machu Picchu. This “Lost City” of the Incas lay hidden from the world in dense jungle covered mountains until 1911 and is one of the world’s archaeological jewels. Explore the mystery of this awe-inspiring place. Return to Cusco.
Day 05 – Cusco – Arequipa
Flight to Arequipa. The city is surrounded by a fertile valley between desert and mountains.
Day 06 – Arequipa
City tour inclusive visit to Santa Catalina Monastery.
Day 07 – Arequipa – Colca Canyon
2-day excursion to visit the Colca Canyon with a length of more than 100km and depth of 3400m. Transfer to Chivay on an altitude of 3600m. Continue to visit the observatory of the western Cordillera, the amphitheatre of Ocolle and the hot springs of La Calera. Lunch included.
Day 08 – Colca Canyon – Arequipa
After an early breakfast you will reach the viewpoint Cruz del Condor. With some luck you can observe the giant condors gliding majestic in the sky. After lunch return to Arequipa.
Day 09 – Arequipa – Tacna – Arica (Chile)
Transfer to Arica across the Chilean border.
Day 10 – Arica
Full day excursion to visit the Lauca National Park on an altitude of 4750m above sea level inclusive Lunchbox.
Day 11 – Arica – Calama – San Pedro
Flight to Calama. Transfer to San Pedro de Atacama.
Day 12 – San Pedro de Atacama
Full day excursion to visit Salar de Atacama, Toconao and the Moon valley for sunset.
Day 13 – San Pedro de Atacama – Calama – Santiago de Chile
Excursion to the El Tatio Geysers with breakfast-box. Continue to the ruins of Lasana and the church of Chiu Chiu. Transfer to the airport in Calama. Flight to Santiago.
Day 14 – Santiago de Chile
City tour inclusive drive up San Cristóbal hill for a fantastic view over the city. Excursion to the Maipo Valley to visit the winery Undurraga.
Day 15 – Santiago de Chile – Mendoza
Transfer in public bus to Mendoza in Argentina (without guide).
Day 16 – Mendoza
Half day city tour. Optional half day visit to a typical winery in the surrounding of Mendoza.
Day 17 – Mendoza – Puerto Iguazú
Flight to Puerto Iguazú. Visit to the Brazilian side of the falls with views of the full scale of the cascades.
Day 18 – Puerto Iguazú
Visit to Iguazu National Park, including the Devil’s Throat with the highest continuous fall. Wonderful sights include rainbows straddling clouds of spray, screeching green parrots flying across the waters.
Day 19 – Puerto Iguazú – Buenos Aires
Flight to Buenos Aires.
Day 20 – Buenos Aires
Half day city tour inclusive visit of Teatro Colón, El Ateneo Grand Splendid is one of the best known bookshops and stop at the traditional Café Tortoni. Visit a Dinner & Tango Show in the evening.
Day 21 – Buenos Aires
City tour to visit the southern neighborhoods La Boca, San Telmo and Puerto Madero.
Day 22 – Buenos Aires
End of this roundtrip and transfer to the airport for your individual departure flight.
