14 Days/ 13 Nights

Itinerary:

Day 01 – Rio de Janeiro
Arrival in Rio de Janeiro. Half day city tour for a first glimpse of this marvellous place. For lunch, Feijoada balls will be served at a local restaurant. Today’s highlight is a welcome caipirinha at the Sugar Loaf with one of the most spectacular views over Rio. Overnight at the hotel in Copacabana.

Day 02 – Rio de Janeiro
Jeep tour to the Corcovado mountain through the Tijuca National Park to the famous Christ statue. Visit of the historical Santa Teresa district for lunch at a restaurant created to praise the Brazilian cuisine.

Day 03 – Rio de Janeiro
Visit of a typical street market to discover the amazing variety of produce. Cooking class to learn a mix of Brazil’s favourite recipes and discover exotic ingredients, techniques and flavours. Visit to one of the most famous Samba Schools to marvel at the elaborate costumes and join a workshop of percussion and dance (Afro & Samba).

Day 04 – Rio de Janeiro – Iguassú
Flight to Foz do Iguassú. Visit of the Brazilian side of the waterfalls for a magnificent view surrounded by the full panorama of the cascades. Barbecue dinner and folklore show with Samba, Tango and Paraguayan music. Overnight at a hotel on the Brazilian side.

Day 05 – Iguassú
Visit to the Argentine Iguassú National Park, including the Devil’s Throat with the highest continuous fall.

Day 06 – Iguassú – Manaus
Flight to Manaus. Transfer to the hotel for overnight.

Day 07 – Manaus
Tour through the historical center of Manaus with its floating harbor, cathedral and the famous opera house. Visit of the municipal market to enjoy the amazing display of exotic Amazonian fruits and vegetables.

Day 08 – Manaus – Amazon
Transfer to the pier to start the jungle experience at Amazon Ecopark Lodge, located at Rio Tarumã, in the middle of the Amazon Forest. Full board is included.

Day 09–10 – Amazon
Full day excursions to explore the variety of the flora and fauna of the Amazon region and the legendary Meeting of the Waters.

Day 11 – Amazon – Salvador da Bahia
Flight from Manaus to Salvador, famous for its cuisine, music and architecture. Transfer to the hotel for overnight.

Day 12 – Salvador da Bahia
City tour through Salvador, visiting the modern suburb of Barra with its famous lighthouse and the historical part of town, Pelourinho. Lunch is included.

Day 13 – Salvador da Bahia
Free day. Optional visit to traditional markets of Salvador, the Museum Jorge Amado and Acarajé tasting, a famous Bahian delicacy.

Day 14 – Salvador da Bahia
Transfer to the airport for homebound flight.
