Day 1. Istanbul
Arrival at Istanbul International Airport (IST) . Meet and greet with our staff and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day free to explore Istanbul, formerly known as Byzantium and Constantinople. The historic areas of the city were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985 for their important monuments and historical remains. Accommodation. Note: Arrival transfer to Sabiha Gokcen Airport (SAW) will be subject to an additional charge.
 
Day 2. Istanbul (Bosphorus Cruise)
Breakfast. In the morning we will visit the Egyptian Bazaar , known as the Spice Bazaar, which was built in the 17th century after the Ottomans conquered Egypt (on the days when the Egyptian Bazaar is closed, we will visit the Rustem Pasha Mosque). Afterwards, we will take a boat to tour the Bosphorus from where we will be able to see the Asian and European parts. We will visit a leather goods workshop. We will finish the visit by getting to know the old part of the city. Rest of the afternoon free for you to walk around on your own and continue discovering the picturesque corners of the city, museums, churches, palaces, large mosques and bazaars. You can also visit the Golden Horn or the Great Mosque. Return to the hotel on your own. Dinner and accommodation.
 
Day 3. Istanbul (City tour)
Breakfast. Today we will visit the Hagia Sophia Mosque , which contains one of the richest museums in the world; the Blue Mosque, covered with Iznik tiles and the only one with six minarets; and the Roman Hippodrome. Rest of the day free for last minute shopping at the Grand Bazaar or photographing the narrow streets of the most historic part of the city. (On days when the Grand Bazaar is closed we will visit the Nuruosmaniye Mosque). Return on your own to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
 
Day 4. Istanbul – Ankara – Cappadocia
Breakfast. In the morning, transfer to the airport to take the flight to Ankara , capital of the Turkish Republic. Upon arrival, we will visit the city and the Mausoleum of Atatürk, founder of the republic. Lunch . In the afternoon, we will drive to Cappadocia , the fascinating region of lunar landscapes formed over centuries on the sculpted layers of lava from two nearby volcanoes. Dinner and accommodation.
 
Day 5. Cappadocia
Optional option to take a “BALLOON RIDE” tour , where you can admire one of the most beautiful landscapes on earth very early in the morning. Breakfast. Today we will enjoy a full-day excursion to discover the region of Cappadocia , which is located between the Turkish cities of Kirsehir, Nigde and Kayseri. We will visit the Goreme Valley, an incredible Byzantine monastic complex made up of churches carved into the rock, the troglodyte villages of Uchisar, the fairy chimneys of Urgup, the chimneys of Pasabag, Ortahisar and Avanos, the village of potters. Lunch. At the end of the day we will visit a factory to learn about the manufacturing process of Turkish carpets. Return to the hotel. Dinner and accommodation.
 
Day 6. Cappadocia – Pamukkale
Breakfast. Departure to the Anatolia region where we will stop to visit Kervansaray, the largest inn of the Seljuk period. It was a large complex with dormitories and stables used as a resting place for merchants passing through the area during the Silk Road era. Lunch. We will continue to Denizli province to reach Pamukkale , which together with Hierapolis, is declared a World Heritage Site. Dinner and accommodation.
 
Day 7. Pamukkale – Ephesus – Izmir/Kusadasi
Breakfast. We will visit the ancient Hierapolis and the Cotton Castle , a natural wonder of gigantic white waterfalls and natural pools formed over the centuries by the passage of water from calcareous salts from hot springs. Lunch. Next, we will visit the House of the Virgin Mary , believed to be the last resting place of the Mother of Jesus, and today a place of pilgrimage, as well as a leather shop where we can see the famous fabrics of the Aegean region. We will continue our way to Ephesus , the best preserved ancient city in Asia Minor. We will visit the Temple of Hadrian, the Roman Baths, the Library, the Odeon and the Theatre. Arrival in Kusadasi or Izmir . Dinner and accommodation.
 
Day 8. Izmir/Kusadasi – Patmos
Breakfast. Transfer to the port of Kusadasi to embark on the cruise to Patmos. Lunch on board . Arrival in Patmos and free time to visit this quiet island on your own, known for being the place where St. John the Evangelist wrote the Apocalypse during his exile from Rome. Boarding to continue the journey. Dinner and accommodation on board .
 
Day 9. Heraklion – Santorini
Full board on board . Arrival at the Cretan port of Heraklion. We will enjoy the visit to the Palace of Knossos , the majestic palace is the cradle of the ancient Mycenaean civilization and known for the legendary labyrinth of King Minos. Afterwards. Free time so you can discover the city on your own. We recommend visiting the Koules Fortress, the Morosini Fountain, the Basilica of St. Mark and the Church of Agios Titos. Return to the ship to continue to your next destination. Lunch on board . Arrival at the port of Santorini and free time to discover the most unique of the islands of all Greece with its whitewashed houses, its narrow streets, outdoor cafes and the pretty shops of the town of Thira which is located at the highest part of the island. You can go up to the city by cable car. Return to the ship and accommodation on board .
 
Day 10. Athens
Breakfast. Arrival at the port of Lavrion . Transfer to the hotel. Free day to explore the city on your own, visit the Archaeological Museum, a neoclassical building containing the richest collection of objects from ancient Greece, or explore the lively Plaka district, where you can find taverns and restaurants in its narrow, colourful streets. Accommodation.
 
Day 11. Athens (City tour)
Breakfast. We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and shoes for the midday visit to Athens . We will start in the city center where we will find some neoclassical buildings from the beginning of the century and which represent the greatest purity of this style, along the Panepistimiou, Stadiou, Reina Sofia and Amalias avenues. Next, we will go to Syntagma Square known as the Constitution Square where the Parliament and the Monument to the Unknown Soldier are located. We will continue towards the Presidential House, the Ancient Panathenaic Stadium, the Temple of Zeus and Hadrian’s Arch. We will arrive at the Acropolis where we will have the opportunity to appreciate the Propylaea, the Ionic Temple of Athena Nike built in memory of the victory over the Persians, the Erection, known as the Portico of the Caryatids. And the Parthenon, symbol of Democratic Athens. Return to the hotel. Rest of the day free . Accommodation.
 
Day 12. Athens
Breakfast. Free time until transfer to the airport to board the flight to your next destination. End of our services
