Itinerary: 

Day 1 – Lima
Arrival in Lima, Peru’s lively capital city, known for its colonial architecture and renowned gastronomy. Transfer to the hotel and overnight stay.

Day 2 – Lima

Today you will explore the city on a sightseeing tour through Lima. The Plaza de Armas with the beautiful buildings of the government Palace, the town hall, the Palace of the archbishop and the cathedral are still the most important places in town. After that you will visit the beautiful San Francisco monastery which displays the largest collection of religious art in America. Proceed through the modern districts of San Isidro and Miraflores and to the Coastline enjoying the view over the beaches of Lima and the Pacific Ocean. Afterwards enjoy a guided visit of one of the Lima’s most noted museums, the Larco Museum which houses the world’s largest private collection of Peruvian pre-Columbian Art.

Day 3 – Lima – Cusco – Yucay
Transfer to the airport for the flight to Cusco. Upon arrival you will start the tour with a visit to Chinchero community located 28km away from Cusco. Its main attraction is its Sunday market originally dedicated to the people of the valley to barter their products. This colourful and lively market still fascinates people with its variety of handicrafts and textiles made in true pre-Columbian style. Then you will be transferred to “El Mirador de Racchi” where you will have a splendid view of the Sacred Valley. Afterwards transfer to your hotel.

Day 4 – Yucay
Morning visit to the Ollantaytambo ruins, an impressive Inca fortress, followed by lunch at a local restaurant.
Afternoon at leisure.

Day 5 – Yucay – Machu Picchu – Cusco
Full-day excursion to the legendary Machu Picchu, the Lost City of the Incas. Guided visit of the citadel and return journey by train and bus to Cusco.

Day 6 – Cusco
Half-day city tour including San Pedro Market and San Blas, the artisans’ district. Start your city tour at the typical San Pedro market and take in the lively bustle of the workers and their colourful stands filled with fruits, vegetables, spices, and other local products. Then, from the “Plaza de Armas” and visit the impressive renaissance-style Cathedral. Make your way through small alleys edged with Incan walls until you reach Koricancha, the temple dedicated to the sun, “Inti”.. End your tour in the San Blas district, home to traditional old families engaged in folk art. Discover the magic of Siete Borreguitos Street. Finally, you will go to the viewpoint from where you will have an excellent view of the Cusco city.**Remark: To protect the historic centre of Cusco, vehicles are no longer allowed in the main square. The afternoon is free at leisure.

Day 7 – Cusco
Day at leisure to explore Cusco at your own pace.

Day 8 – Cusco – Puno
Transfer to the bus station for a panoramic journey to Puno (shared basis). Along the way, visit Andahuaylillas, Racchi, and Pucara, with lunch included. Arrival and transfer to the hotel.

Day 9 – Puno
Full-day boat excursion on Lake Titicaca, the world’s highest navigable lake. Visit the Uros floating islands and Taquile Island, known for its handwoven textiles and traditional way of life. Lunch included.

Day 10 – Puno – Lima
Transfer to Juliaca airport for flight to Lima. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and afternoon at leisure.

Day 11 – Lima
End of the roundtrip. Transfer to the airport for your return or onward flight.
