• The car must be returned to the same airport; otherwise, additional fees will apply, to be agreed upon with the rental company.

Itinerary:
Day 1: FLORENCE (DRIVE TO MONTECATINI TERME)
Arrive at Florence/Pisa airport , get the car and drive to Florence starting to visit Santa Croce, the largest Franciscan church in Italy, considered the burial site of the most important Italian personalities from history, art and literature. Equally impressive is the Palazzo Vecchio in the Piazza della Signoria with the replica of David by Michelangelo. Recommended is the visit to the Uffizi Gallery, the world-famous art gallery or stroll the streets of the city and let the day finish with a café on the Piazza della Repubblica. Day 2: SIENA & SAN GIMIGNANO (OVERNIGHT IN MONTECATINI TERME)

Suggested itinerary: Heading into the Chianti area, which extends between Siena and Florence, that has spawned one of the most famous wines, the Chianti. Let yourself be enchanted by one of the most magnificent landscapes of hills, fields, numerous vineyards and olive groves. You can discover San Gimignano, whose soaring towers that can already be seen from afar. Worth seeing are the Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta, the Palazzo del Popolo with the Museum Civico and the Piazza della Cisterna with its pretty fountain. Drive to Siena. The medieval city of Siena is a work of art of the Gothic period. With its winding old town and the narrow, red-brown of high palaces brick of Sienese clay-lined streets, it seems as if the clock of centuries stopped. The historic center on its three hills grouped in the form of a three-star, is famous for its Palazzo Pubblico and its Torre del Mangia (88 meters high). From here you have a wonderful view of the famous beautiful Piazza del Campo. Overnight in Montecatini Terme.
Day 3: PISA & LUCCA (OVERNIGHT IN MONTECATINI TERME)

Suggested itinerary: The Leaning Tower of Pisa has made it famous throughout the world. During your day trip you can admire the Square of Miracles, the unique composition of the Cathedral, the Leaning Tower, Baptistery and Campo Santo. The Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta is a masterpiece of the italian Architecture. Inside the Baptistery you can visit the hexagonal pulpit by Nicola Pisano. Something very special in its own way is the Cemetery in the form of a monumental cloister. Drive to Lucca and visit this beautiful medieval city with the Guinigi Tower and the Clock Tower. From these points there is a splendid view over the rooftops of the Tuscan town, an overview that allows you to appreciate the beauty and harmony, and find the same urban structure built by the Romans. Piazza of the Amphitheatre, in the name of what was already said in this space occupied today by one of the most beautiful squares in Italy. The Church of San Michele, also called the Forum, is a place where there was the center of the ancient Lucca. Overnight in Montecatini Terme.
Day 4: TRASIMENO LAKE, PERUGIA & ASSISI (DRIVE TO ROME)

Suggested itinerary: As you cross the Tuscan countryside, the first town you meet will be Passignano sul Trasimeno, a small medieval hamlet with ancient city walls and a beautiful fortress. The town features a famous tourist resort at a magical location which provides a stunning view of the enchanting lake and surrounding islands. After this visit proceed through the evocative landscape until you reach the hill from which the ancient city of Perugia rises. Evidence of its Etruscan origin is preserved in the travertine walls and the conveniently located in the village centre. Perugia is one of the most popular Italian cities of art, with a beautiful square from which you can admire architectural jewels such as the superb Palazzo dei Priori and the splendid Cathedral placed beside the Loggia. The elegant Fontana Maggiore is another breathtaking masterpiece. Drive to Assisi, the quaint town where the patron saint of Italy, Saint Francis of Assisi lived, worked and died. The town of Assisi can be found at the foot of Mount Subasi. On your arrival you should first visit the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli, built as protection for the famous church of the “Porziuncola”. Here you can also see the “rosebush without thorns”. Drive to the center of Assisi where you can visit the civil and religious artistic heritage of the city. Admire the splendid Gothic Basilica dedicated to Saint Chiara, the Renaissance Chiesa Nuova with an elegant Dome and the Roman temple of Minerva which still retains its first century AD façade. Discover the fourteenth century Monte Frumentario and finally visit the famous and beautiful St Francis’ Basilica, a UNESCO heritage monument, built with white-rosy stone originating from Mount Subasio. The wonderful, frescoed cycles painted by Cimabue, Giotto, Simone Martini and Lorenzetti are preserved inside the Basilica. Breathe in the special atmosphere of serenity and joy that this city emanates and you will understand why it has been chosen as symbol of Peace by the delegates of the main religions in the world. DAY 5: ROME – VATICAN MUSEUM (OVERNIGHT IN ROME)

Suggested itinerary Visit Vatican Museum and St. Peter’s Basilica. You’ll visit the Gallery of Maps, the Gallery of Tapestries, the Borgia Apartments , Raphael Rooms and their exceptional frescoes, and entry to the Sistine Chapel, whose ceiling is one of the cornerstone works of High Renaissance art. The day couldn’t be complete without a visit to St. Peter’s, the Basilica that isn’t only the largest church in the world, but that contains several pieces of fine art: think the canopy designed by Gian Lorenzo Bernini or the Pietà by Michelangelo. And to top it off, gaze the majestic St. Peter’s Square, the open space which lies before the Basilica, redesigned by Gian Lorenzo Bernini and being itself an architectural masterpiece of the Baroque age. DAY 6: ROME – COLOSSEUM )
Breakfast in hotel. This day you will have the possibility to explore COLOSSEUM, ROMAN FORUM & PALATINE HILL .
Suggested itinerary You’ll walk inside the Flavian Amphitheater, seeing the places where the Ancient Romans used to watch a variety of events, such as gladiatorial shows or staged animal hunts, and you’ll learn more about the way Romans used to enjoy their leisure time. On around the Palatine Hill, the place where Rome was founded and where Roman emperors used to live: the view is spectacular from here! You’ll also reach the Roman Forum, the pulsating heart of ancient Roman life, to see some very well preserved ruins of that time: In the afternoon Suggested itinerary: You can visit the Piramide, the Mouth of Truth, Circus Maximus, the Baths of Caracalla and the Coliseum. You can then admire Santa Maria Maggiore, Republic Square, Piazza Venezia, the Quirinale. Walk through the historical center of the city and visit Fontana di Trevi, Piazza di Spagna, Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Via Condotti, Via del Corso, Piazza del Popolo and Villa Borghese. Continue your visit through Lungotevere, admire Palazzo di Giustizia and Castel Sant’Angelo. Overnight in Rome.
Day 7: ROME – ROYAL PALACE OF CASERTA -SORRENTO AREA)
Breakfast in the hotel. This day you are free to relax and explore the city on your own, in the afternoon you have to drive to Sorrento area. On your way to Naples we recommend a stop in Caserta to visit The Royal Palace of Caserta, commissioned in the 18th century by Charles of Bourbon, King of Naples and Sicily and known as the largest royal residence in the world. It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. Overnight in Sorrento area.
Day 8: POSITANO & AMALFI (OVERNIGHT IN SORRENTO AREA)
Breakfast in the hotel. This day you are free to relax and explore the city on your own or you can opt to spend you day in the Amalfi coast, one of the most spectacular coastlines of Europe. Overnight in Sorrento area.
Suggested itinerary: Visit the famous towns of Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello and enjoy the Amalfi Coast drive which is arguably the world’s most beautiful and thrilling sightseeing road.
- Positano is a true paradise, developed vertically within a tangled overlay of streets, alleys and shops that expose the colorful Positano fashions well-known all around the world. In the town center is the Parish Church of Santa Maria Assunta that shows up with its large dome, tiled in majolica and sheltering some precious works like polychrome marble altars. It’s nice to get lost in Positano… To fully embrace the beauty of the town it’s probably better to walk without a precise destination; You will be able to enjoy the streets, the little shops, the restaurants, the monuments, the churches, the beaches.
- Amalfi, a picturesque interlacing of alleys and stairways overlooks the sea with all its extraordinary colors reflecting the enchanting landscape of Amalfi, the town whose name blesses the entire coast. Dominated by the majestic Cathedral dedicated to Sant’Andrea (St. Andrew), Amalfi proffers innumerable testimonies of its glorious past as a Maritime Republic.
- Ravello, another pearl of the coast, an elegant and refined village, dipped in green and characterized by luxurious villas. Ravello is famous all around the world for its Festival, in the garden of Villa Rufolo, where an evocative setting and the emotion of listening to great music create an experience of extraordinary intensity. The heart of Ravello is represented by Piazza Vescovado, framed by the architecture of Palazzo Rufolo and the Cathedral with its magnificent portal (the first ever made with this innovative mould technique) and 10-feet-high bell tower.
Day 9: POMPEII OR CAPRI (OVERNIGHT IN SORRENTO AREA)

Suggested itinerary: Take in the breeze of the Mediterranean as you cruise over to the island in a boat. No holiday here in Sorrento would be complete without a trip to the evocative Island of Capri. Sail across the Bay of Naples for the start of an unforgettable day. Departure to Capri, sailing along the Sorrento Coast. Arrival to Capri and tour of the island by boat with the possibility to admire the Marvellous Grotto, the White Grotto, the Green Grotto; along the way you will admire the Natural Arch, the Villa Curzio Malaparte, the Faraglioni rocks and the Lighthouse of Punta Carena. Disembark at Marina Grande in Capri with 5/6 hours free time to visit the island. Comfortable shoes, cameras. Overnight in Sorrento Area.
Suggested itinerary: Start your day driving to Pompeii. Pompeii has been submerged by a torrent of lava and mud during the explosion of the Volcano Vesuvius and remained hidden till the beginning of the excavations in the XVIII century… many treasures are still awaiting to be unerthed. Walk along the ancient “cardini” and “decumani” and explore the remainings of the prosperous Romans. You will admire the baths, streets, bakeries, forums that were once integral parts of daily life and marvel at the magnificently preserved frescoes that adorn the fine Villas. Bring back to light the custom and traditions of the Ancient Romans. In the afternoon . Drive to Rome. Overnight in Rome.
Day 10: DEPARTURE
