Welcome to Lima, the “City of Kings.” Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to relax or explore the Peruvian capital’s lively coastal districts.
Day 2 – Lima
Discover colonial and modern Lima on a guided city tour. Visit the Larco Herrera Museum, home to one of the world’s largest private collections of Inca and pre-Inca artifacts, including ceramics, gold, and textiles.
Day 3 – Lima → Cusco
Fly to Cusco, the former capital of the Inca Empire. Enjoy a guided walking tour through the city’s cobblestone streets, visiting highlights from both Incan and colonial times, including Koricancha Temple and Plaza de Armas.
Day 4 – Cusco → Sacred Valley → Cusco
Explore the colorful Pisac Market, where locals trade fruits, crafts, and traditional textiles. Continue to the Ollantaytambo Fortress, an impressive Inca site with massive stone terraces, and stroll through the charming Ollantaytambo village.
Day 5 – Cusco → Huayllabamba (Inca Trail)
Begin your Inca Trail Trek (shared basis). Transfer to Piskacuchu, the starting point, and follow the path through Miskay and the ancient ruins of Llactapata before reaching Huayllabamba for your first night in tents.
(Camping accommodation included.)
Day 6 – Huayllabamba → Pacaymayo
Ascend to Abra Warmihuanusca, the highest point of the trail, with views of the changing ecosystems—from the mountain sierra to the lush cloud forest. Descend to Pacaymayo Valley for your next camp.
Day 7 – Pacaymayo → Phuyupatamarca
Continue along the stone-paved trail, visiting Runkurakay and Sayamarca ruins. The path leads through a natural rock tunnel before reaching Phuyupatamarca, “the place above the clouds,” where you’ll camp near the ruins.
Day 8 – Machu Picchu → Cusco
Trek to Wiñay Wayna and then reach Inti Punku—the Sun Gate. From here, witness the sunrise over the sacred citadel of Machu Picchu. Enjoy a guided tour of this world wonder before returning by train and bus to Cusco.
Day 9 – Cusco → Puno
Embark on a scenic drive across the Andean Highlands to Puno, passing small villages and breathtaking landscapes. Stop to visit Racchi, known for its Inca temple ruins, and Andahuaylillas, home to the “Sistine Chapel of the Andes.”
Day 10 – Puno
Take a lesser-known Inca Trail near Lake Titicaca, walking from Chacras through Santa Rosa de Yanaque to Copamaya. Enjoy panoramic views of the lake, the world’s highest navigable body of water.
Day 11 – Puno → Santiago de Chile
Transfer to Juliaca Airport for your flight to Santiago de Chile (via Lima). Overnight in Santiago.
Day 12 – Santiago → San Pedro de Atacama
Fly to Calama and transfer to San Pedro de Atacama. In the afternoon, experience a guided “moon walk” through the Valley of the Moon, admiring otherworldly rock formations and desert landscapes.
Day 13 – San Pedro de Atacama
Hike to the Quitor archaeological site and explore Catarpe Valley and the Río Grande canyon adorned with ancient petroglyphs. Enjoy a thrilling “water hike” through narrow gorges and streams.
