ITINERARY:
Day 1 – Bogotá
Arrival in Bogotá, Colombia’s lively capital nestled high in the Andes. Meet your local guide and transfer to the hotel.
Day 2 – Bogotá
Discover Bogotá by bike, a fun and authentic way to experience the city! Pedal through the colonial quarter La Candelaria, pass by Plaza Bolívar, and visit both the Gold Museum and Botero Museum, home to the famous Colombian artist’s works.
Day 3 – Bogotá
Full-day excursion to Chingaza National Park, a stunning natural reserve filled with misty mountains, lakes, and high-altitude páramo ecosystems. Explore the surroundings by car and on short scenic walks with a specialized guide.
Day 4 – Bogotá – Coffee Triangle
Journey toward the lush Coffee Triangle, Colombia’s heart of coffee culture. En route, stop in the charming towns of San Francisco, Guaduas, and Honda, known for their colonial architecture and local traditions.
Day 5 – Coffee Triangle
Visit a traditional coffee plantation to learn the process from bean to cup — from planting and harvesting to roasting and tasting your own Colombian coffee.
Day 6 – Coffee Triangle – Salento
Travel through the breathtaking Cocora Valley, home to Colombia’s national tree, the towering wax palm. Participate in a tree-planting activity before arriving in Salento, one of the region’s most picturesque towns. Visit nearby Filandia, known for its scenic viewpoints, and enjoy dinner at the local favorite restaurant “Helena Adentro.”
Day 7 – Salento – Jardín
Scenic drive to Jardín, a colorful village in the mountains of Antioquia, often called one of Colombia’s most beautiful towns.
Day 8 – Jardín
Day at leisure to enjoy Jardín’s tranquil pace — stroll through flower-filled plazas, sip coffee in a local café, or take the cable car for panoramic views of the Andes.
Day 9 – Jardín – Medellín
Travel north, stopping at the towns of Jericó, known for its leather crafts, and Fredonia, to visit a coffee plantation and meet local gold miners. Continue to Medellín, Colombia’s innovative and vibrant “City of Eternal Spring.”
Day 10 – Medellín
Explore Medellín’s transformation on a guided city tour. Ride the Metrocable for sweeping city views and visit Comuna 13, where a local graffiti artist explains the stories and symbols behind the colorful murals.
Day 11 – Medellín
Participate in a local social project, learning about sustainable community initiatives (projects vary depending on availability). In the afternoon, join a street food tour and sample Medellín’s most beloved snacks and flavors.
Day 12 – Medellín – Cartagena
Flight to Cartagena, the gem of Colombia’s Caribbean coast. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to begin exploring this UNESCO World Heritage city.
Day 13 – Cartagena
Guided bike tour through Cartagena’s colonial center, including visits to the imposing San Felipe Fortress and the Historic Museum of Cartagena.
Day 14 – Cartagena
Excursion to the nearby fishing village of La Boquilla. Glide through serene mangrove tunnels in a dugout canoe, then join a Coconut Workshop to craft your own natural souvenir. Lunch included.
Day 15 – Cartagena
End of the roundtrip. Transfer to the airport for your international flight home.
