Super China

6 Days / 5 Nights

ITINERARY:

Day 1: BEIJING

Arrival at Beijing Capital International Airport. Assistance and transfer to the hotel. Beijing is one of the oldest and largest cities in the world, boasting a fascinating blend of tradition and modernity, from imperial palaces to modern shopping malls. As the country’s cultural and political capital, it is an essential part of any China itinerary. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay. (In case of arrival at Daxing Airport, the transfer will have a supplement of USD 50 per person).

Day 2: BEIJING (Forbidden City)

Breakfast. Departure for a tour of this fascinating city: the first stop will be at the National Theatre (exterior view), then we will continue to the Imperial Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site better known as the “Forbidden City.” This complex of over 980 traditional-style buildings is protected by a purple wall and a moat, and for centuries it was a forbidden enclosure for ordinary citizens; only the emperor, his immediate family, guards, and servants had access. South of the Imperial Palace, we will see Tiananmen Square, built during the Ming Dynasty after the proclamation of the People’s Republic of China. Of colossal dimensions, it is one of the largest squares in the world and has been the setting for various historical events. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, there is an optional visit to the Summer Palace and its extensive park, used exclusively by members of the Imperial Family during the Qing Dynasty. This palace, spanning over 290 hectares, features a large lake surrounded by countless temples, palaces, and gardens, offering a tranquil haven for visitors. Enjoy a tea tasting in a traditional teahouse, followed by a stroll through Sanlitun, one of Beijing’s most modern districts. A welcome dinner awaits, where you’ll savor the delectable Peking duck. (Tour and dinner included only in the “Yes” option). Overnight stay.

Day 3: BEIJING (Great Wall)

Breakfast. Departure from Beijing to visit one of the New Seven Wonders of the Modern World, the Great Wall of China, including the Juyongguan and Badaling sections. Begun as a defense against invasions by nomadic tribes from the north, it was between the 15th and 16th centuries that the Ming emperors completed the 7,000 km continuous wall, which now spans seven provinces. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, there is an optional visit to a pearl factory and the Temple of Heaven, one of China’s most important sacred sites. Built during the Ming Dynasty in 1420, it was the place where the emperor gave thanks to Heaven for the harvest and prayed for the next. At the Temple of Heaven, nothing is accidental, and every structure holds symbolic meaning in Chinese culture. It is surrounded by a large park where Beijing residents practice Tai Chi, children play, and musicians entertain with traditional stringed instruments. (Visit only included in the “Yes” option). Overnight stay.

Day 4: BEIJING – SHANGHAI

Breakfast. Transfer to the train station for your high-speed train journey in economy class to Shanghai, one of the most famous historical and cultural cities and the country’s largest industrial center and foreign trade port. With centuries of history and a history marked by conflicts and wars between the French, British, Americans, and Japanese, Shanghai preserves both Western and traditional Chinese heritage. It is a world-renowned example of futuristic architecture, particularly in its Pudong district, with its towering and gleaming skyscrapers such as the Shanghai World Financial Center and the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. Upon arrival in Shanghai, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 5: SHANGHAI

Breakfast. Free day to continue exploring Shanghai, China’s largest and most populous city. Optional visit to the Yu Garden, designed in the 16th century and modeled after imperial gardens. It’s a tranquil place filled with traditional pavilions and ponds with diverse vegetation and rock formations. We’ll stroll through the Old Quarter, which embodies the style and atmosphere of Traditional China, and visit the Jade Buddha Temple, home to two Burmese Buddha statues carved from a single piece of white jade. Finally, we’ll walk along the Bund, a 2-km pedestrian promenade along the west bank of the Huangpu River, offering the best views of Pudong, the city’s financial district. (Visit only included in the “Yes” option). Overnight stay.

Day 6: SHANGHAI
