ITINERARY:
Day 1: OSAKA
Arrival at Osaka Airport where you will be met by a Spanish-speaking assistant who will accompany you to the meeting point to board the regular airport limousine bus. Arrival at the hotel and overnight stay. Note: The transfer is subject to public transport schedules; if you arrive before 8:00 AM or after 6:00 PM, there will be a surcharge of USD 100 per booking.
Day 2: OSAKA
Breakfast. Free day at your leisure. We suggest an optional visit to Universal Studios, where you can enjoy a world of excitement and fantasy. Overnight stay. Note: As per Universal Japan Studios’ policy, tickets must be purchased by the reservation holder; Special Tours and its intermediaries are not authorized to purchase them.
Day 3: OSAKA – KYOTO
Breakfast. At 9:00 AM, meet in the lobby and begin your city tour with a Spanish-speaking guide. Visit Osaka Castle, with its impressive main tower, walls, moats, and defensive towers. In March and April, you can enjoy the 600 cherry trees that adorn its gardens. Afterward, visit the Dotonbori district, one of the city’s main tourist attractions. This popular neighborhood is known for its neon lights, the decorations adorning the facades of its many restaurants, and its vibrant nightlife. Lunch. Then, transfer to Kyoto by private bus to visit the Golden Temple of Kinkaku-ji, whose golden hues are reflected in the waters of a pond and which is surrounded by exquisite vegetation. Afterward, enjoy a walk through Arashiyama Forest, where an illuminated path will guide you among immense bamboo groves. Immerse yourself not only in the incredible landscape of the trees but also in the sounds of the forest, as the wind sways the bamboo in a mantra that invites meditation. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 4: KYOTO – FUSHIMI INARI – NARA – KYOTO
Breakfast. At 9:00 AM, meet in the lobby and visit Fushimi Inari Shrine, Japan’s most important Shinto shrine dedicated to the spirit of Inari (the Goddess of Rice) and known for the thousands of torii gates (traditional Japanese archways) that mark the path to the shrine. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, depart for Kyoto, visiting Nara en route, one of Japan’s oldest cities with magnificent buildings such as Todaiji Temple with its enormous Giant Buddha and Nara Park, home to the sacred deer. After the visit, transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 5: KYOTO
Breakfast. Free day for personal activities or to enjoy the city on your own. You can take an optional excursion to Hiroshima and Miyajima. The tour includes a transfer to Kyoto Station to board the Nozomi bullet train to Hiroshima. Transfer to Miyajima, where you can visit this sacred island, the Itsukushima Shinto Shrine famous for its Torii Gate, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Lunch is included in the optional tour. Continue to the Peace Memorial Park, designed by Japanese architect Kenzo Tange as a tribute to the more than 140,000 victims, and the Atomic Bomb Museum, etc. Transfer to Hiroshima Station and board the Nozomi bullet train to Kyoto and check into your hotel. (Tour included only in the “Yes” option). Overnight stay.
Day 6: KYOTO – TOKYO
Breakfast. Luggage drop-off; luggage will be transported separately by truck (1 suitcase per person) to the hotel in Tokyo. Please pack a backpack with clothes and essentials for an overnight stay, as the one-day luggage transfer service is temporarily suspended. At 8:15 a.m., transfer with a Spanish-speaking assistant to Kyoto Station (the assistant will not accompany you during the train journey). Departure for Tokyo on the Nozomi bullet train. Upon arrival at the station, meet your Spanish-speaking guide for a visit to the Meiji Shrine, dedicated to the first emperor of modern Japan, Emperor Meiji, and his wife, Empress Shoken. Afterward, continue to the Senso-ji Buddhist Temple, located in the Asakusa district. This pilgrimage and gathering place comprises several buildings, from the Kamirarimon Gate to the Komagatado Hall. After leaving the temple, we’ll stroll along Nakamise Street, a bustling shopping street lined with 90 stalls selling souvenirs, traditional Japanese goods, and exotic snacks. Lunch. At the Imperial Palace Plaza, we’ll get a glimpse into the Emperor’s life in his residence, surrounded by beautiful oriental gardens, towers, walls, and moats—the remains of an ancient Edo-era castle. We’ll continue our tour to Shibuya, Tokyo’s iconic, popular, and trendy district, where thousands of people cross its famous and immense pedestrian crossing every day. Overnight stay.
Day 7: TOKYO
Breakfast. Free day at your leisure. We suggest an optional visit to Tokyo Disneyland, where you’ll find a world full of fantasy and excitement. Overnight stay. Note: As per Tokyo Disneyland’s policy, tickets must be purchased by the reservation holder; Special Tours and its intermediaries are not authorized to purchase them.
Day 8: TOKYO – BEIJING
Breakfast. Check-out time is 11:00 AM. Departure on a flight to Beijing (flight not included). Arrival at Beijing International Airport. Assistance and transfer to the hotel. Beijing is one of the oldest and largest cities in the world, boasting a fascinating blend of tradition and modernity, from imperial palaces to modern shopping malls. As the country’s cultural and political capital, it is an essential part of any China itinerary. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay. (In case of arrival at Daxing Airport, the transfer will have a supplement of USD 50 per person). For operational reasons, the itinerary arriving in Japan on April 6 does not include the departure transfer.
Day 9: BEIJING (Forbidden City)
Breakfast. Departure for a tour of this fascinating city: the first stop will be at the National Theatre (exterior view), then we will continue to the Imperial Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site better known as the “Forbidden City.” This complex of over 980 traditional-style buildings is protected by a purple wall and a moat, and for centuries it was a forbidden enclosure for ordinary citizens; only the emperor, his immediate family, guards, and servants had access. South of the Imperial Palace, we will see Tiananmen Square, built during the Ming Dynasty after the proclamation of the People’s Republic of China. Of colossal dimensions, it is one of the largest squares in the world and has been the setting for various historical events. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, there is an optional visit to the Summer Palace and its extensive park, used exclusively by members of the Imperial Family during the Qing Dynasty. This palace, spanning over 290 hectares, features a large lake surrounded by countless temples, palaces, and gardens, offering a tranquil haven for visitors. Enjoy a tea tasting in a traditional teahouse, followed by a stroll through Sanlitun, one of Beijing’s most modern districts. A welcome dinner awaits, where you’ll savor the delectable Peking duck. Day 10: BEIJING (Great Wall)
Breakfast. Departure from Beijing to visit one of the New Seven Wonders of the Modern World, the Great Wall of China, including the Juyongguan and Badaling sections. Begun as a defense against invasions by nomadic tribes from the north, it was between the 15th and 16th centuries that the Ming emperors completed the 7,000 km continuous wall, which now spans seven provinces. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, there is an optional visit to a pearl factory and the Temple of Heaven, one of China’s most important sacred sites. Built during the Ming Dynasty in 1420, it was the place where the emperor gave thanks to Heaven for the harvest and prayed for the next. At the Temple of Heaven, nothing is accidental, and every structure holds symbolic meaning in Chinese culture. It is surrounded by a large park where Beijing residents practice Tai Chi, children play, and musicians entertain with traditional stringed instruments. (Visit only included in the “Yes” option). Day 11: BEIJING-XIAN
Breakfast. Transfer to the train station for your high-speed train to Xi’an. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. Xi’an marks the easternmost point of the Silk Road and is home to the famous Terracotta Army. Overnight stay.
Day 12: XIAN (Terracotta Warriors Museum)
Breakfast. This city is famous for the discovery of the Tomb of Emperor Qin Shi Huangdi, which contained over 6,000 life-size terracotta figures of warriors and horses. A visit to the hall displaying these terracotta figures, some over 2,000 years old, is included. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, there is an optional visit to the Wild Goose Pagoda (without climbing). This unique pagoda is built in tiers, following the architectural style of Indian Buddhist stupas. To end the day, stroll through the famous Muslim Quarter, a long street lined with food stalls, restaurants, and shops, imbued with a rich Muslim cultural atmosphere. Day 13: XIAN- SHANGHAI
Breakfast. Transfer to the train station for your high-speed train journey in economy class to Shanghai, one of the most famous historical and cultural cities and the country’s largest industrial center and foreign trade port. With centuries of history and a history marked by conflicts and wars between the French, British, Americans, and Japanese, Shanghai preserves both Western and traditional Chinese heritage. It is a world-renowned example of futuristic architecture, particularly in its Pudong district, with its towering and gleaming skyscrapers such as the Shanghai World Financial Center and the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. Upon arrival in Shanghai, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 14: SHANGHAI
Breakfast. Free day to continue exploring Shanghai, China’s largest and most populous city. Optional visit to the Yu Garden, designed in the 16th century and modeled after imperial gardens. It’s a tranquil place filled with traditional pavilions and ponds with diverse vegetation and rock formations. We’ll stroll through the Old Quarter, which embodies the style and atmosphere of Traditional China, and visit the Jade Buddha Temple, home to two Burmese Buddha statues carved from a single piece of white jade. Finally, we’ll walk along the Bund, a 2-km pedestrian promenade along the west bank of the Huangpu River, offering the best views of Pudong, the city’s financial district. Day 15: SHANGHAI
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport for your flight to your next destination. End of our services.
