Itinerary:
Day 01 – São Paulo
Arrival in São Paulo and transfer to the hotel. Enjoy a city tour through this world-famous metropolis, known for its impressive skyline, vibrant culture, and dynamic blend of modern and historical architecture.
Day 02 – São Paulo – Paraty
Bus ride (seat-in, without guide) to Paraty, a charming colonial town on Brazil’s Green Coast. Guided walking tour through the cobblestone streets of this historical gem. Overnight at a traditional Pousada.
Day 03 – Paraty
Day at leisure for your own activities in and around Paraty. Optional boat trip through the beautiful bays and islands of the Costa Verde or a visit to a local cachaça distillery.
Day 04 – Paraty – Rio de Janeiro
Bus ride (seat-in, without guide) along the stunning coastal road of the Costa Verde to Rio de Janeiro. Check-in at the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 05 – Rio de Janeiro
Half-day city tour including a visit to Corcovado Mountain, home to the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue, followed by a stroll through the lush Botanical Garden. Optional churrasco dinner (Brazilian BBQ) with a lively samba show in the evening.
Day 06 – Rio de Janeiro
Half-day city tour including a visit to Sugar Loaf Mountain, where you’ll enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the city, Guanabara Bay, and its famous beaches. Afternoon at leisure.
Day 07 – Rio de Janeiro – Petrópolis – Tiradentes
Depart by bus to the mountain town of Petrópolis, once the summer residence of the Brazilian emperors. Visit the Imperial Museum and enjoy lunch before continuing to Tiradentes, a beautifully preserved colonial town in Minas Gerais. Overnight at a Pousada.
Day 08 – Tiradentes – Congonhas – Ouro Preto
Explore the cobblestone streets and charming colonial houses of Tiradentes. Continue via São João del Rei and Congonhas, where you’ll visit the famous basilica featuring sculptures by Aleijadinho. Proceed to the enchanting city of Ouro Preto for overnight.
Day 09 – Ouro Preto
Discover Ouro Preto, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Stroll through its winding streets and admire the ornate baroque churches, bridges, and fountains — remnants of its golden age during the 18th-century gold rush.
Day 10 – Ouro Preto
Excursion to Mariana, a neighboring colonial town with beautifully preserved 18th-century architecture. Visit the Passagem Gold Mine, where small railcars lead you deep into the tunnels to a stunning underground lake. Lunch included.
Day 11 – Ouro Preto – Salvador da Bahia
Flight to Salvador da Bahia, one of the oldest cities in the Americas and the vibrant heart of Afro-Brazilian culture. Transfer to your hotel in the city center.
Day 12 – Salvador da Bahia
City tour through Salvador’s historical landmarks, including the colorful Pelourinho district, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its colonial architecture and lively street music.
Day 13 – Salvador da Bahia
Day at leisure. Optional excursion to Cachoeira, a town rich in candomblé traditions and fine colonial architecture along the Paraguaçu River.
Day 14 – Salvador da Bahia – Recife
Flight to Recife and transfer to the hotel. Visit the charming colonial neighborhood of Olinda, another UNESCO World Heritage site, known for its baroque churches and artistic atmosphere.
Day 15 – Recife
