Itinerary:

Day 01 – Quito

On arrival you will be met and taken to your hotel. You will stay at the sophisticated Casa Gangotena.

Day 02 – Quito

Take a tour of Quito’s lovely sights including La Compañía and San Francisco Church. Enjoy fine views of the city and its surrounding volcanoes, and taste some authentic Ecuadorian chocolate.

Day 03 – Quito – Mashpi

Head north of Quito to the remote Mashpi Lodge, a cocoon of luxury amidst the Ecuadorian cloud forest. Trek hidden paths, spot rare birds, meditate by waterfalls, and relax to the sounds of nature.

Day 04 – Mashpi

Rise early to watch colorful birds around the lodge. Enjoy a hike or visit the Hummingbird Garden, then take in stunning views from the Dragonfly aerial cable car. After sunset, explore the forest on a guided night walk discovering frogs, insects, and nocturnal creatures.

Day 05 – Mashpi – Cotacachi

After breakfast, transfer north to the artisan village of Cotacachi. Stay and dine at the beautiful La Mirage Hotel & Spa (Relais & Châteaux).

Day 06 – Cotacachi

Enjoy a short hike near Cuicocha Crater Lake, home to Andean condors and diverse wildlife. Visit the vibrant Otavalo Market, famous for crafts and textiles. Dinner is served at your hotel.

Day 07 – Cotacachi – Galapagos Archipelago

Transfer back to Quito for your flight to the Galapagos Islands, a haven of rare wildlife. Stay at the luxurious Pikaia Lodge in the highlands of Santa Cruz Island.

Days 08–10 – Galapagos Archipelago

Explore the islands by boat, walk through colonies of frigate birds, and watch sea lions basking on the shore. Spot blue-footed boobies, snorkel with sharks and manta rays, and enjoy daily excursions with expert naturalist guides.

Day 11 – Galapagos Archipelago – Guayaquil

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Guayaquil and onward home. Optional extension available aboard one of our selected SAT luxury cruises.
