10 Days/ 9 Nights 

Itinerary: 

Day 01 – Bogotá
Individual arrival in Bogotá and transfer to the hotel.

Day 02 – Bogotá
First you will visit the Botanical Garden of Bogotá. Walk through the colonial historical center „La Candelaria“ and visit the famous Gold Museum with more than 30.000 exhibits of gold and several manufactures of ceramic– and textiles.

Day 03 – National Park Chingaza
Visit the national park of Chingaza. The aims of the park are the protection of the existing ecological system, the conservation of the ritual places of the Muiscas and the development for ecological tourism. One part of the park is secured as wetlands. Return back to Bogotá in the afternoon.

Day 04 – Natural Reserve Mana Dulce
During the full day excursion to the nature reserve of Mana Dulce you will have the chance to observe several species of birds.

Day 05 – Bogotá – Fusagasuga – Bogotá
Excursion to Fusagasuga, 1 ½ hours away from Bogotá. Visit a bromelain breeding farm founded by Franz Gruber. The farm owns over 400 different kinds of Hebrides of bromelain. A circuit across the farm with detailed exploration about the cultivation and breeding of the bromelains.

Day 06 – Bogotá – Pereira
Flight to Pereira, located in the coffee corner. Due to the climate, this region is ideal for coffee cultivation. Visit to a coffee farm with introduction in the process of coffee production, from planting to roasting.

Day 07 – Pereira – Rio Blanco – Pereira
Full day excursion to explore the nature reserve of Rio Blanco. Time to make several smaller walking-tours and observing different species of birds.

Day 08 – Pereira – Santa Marta
Flight to Santa Marta located on the Caribbean coastline of Colombia and transfer to the hotel.

Day 09 – Santa Marta
Visit the National Park of Tayrona around 30 minutes drive away from Santa Marta. This full day excursion includes walking-tours, bathing in the Caribbean Sea and relaxing in the white sandy beach.

Day 10 – Santa Marta
Homebound flight or individual extension program.
