12 Days / 11 Nights
ITINERARY:
Day 1 – Rio de Janeiro
Arrival in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil’s most iconic city. Check in at your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Relax after your flight or take a stroll along the famous Copacabana or Ipanema Beach.
Day 2 – Rio – Evolução Ecolodge (Amazon)
Morning flight to Manaus, the capital of the Amazonas state. Transfer by car and speedboat (approx. 2 hours) to Evolução Ecolodge, a peaceful retreat deep in the rainforest. Enjoy a welcome dinner at the lodge. (Full board included)
Day 3 – Evolução Ecolodge
Full day of Amazon adventure! Activities (shared basis) include guided jungle walks, piranha fishing, and night alligator spotting. Listen to the sounds of the jungle as you experience one of the most biodiverse regions on Earth.
Day 4 – Evolução Ecolodge
Another exciting day to explore the Amazon. Join optional lodge activities such as bird and monkey watching, visiting an indigenous community, and learning about local life during a visit to a caboclo’s house (a traditional Amazonian settler).
Day 5 – Evolução Ecolodge – Cuiabá
Transfer back to Manaus for your flight to Cuiabá, the gateway to the Pantanal. Arrival and transfer to your hotel.
Day 6 – Cuiabá – Pantanal / Araras Lodge
Scenic drive to Araras Eco Lodge, located in the Northern Pantanal. Along the way, spot toucans, capybaras, and other wildlife. Upon arrival, enjoy the peaceful surroundings and sunset over the wetlands. (Full board included)
Days 7–9 – Pantanal / Araras Lodge
Three days of wildlife exploration in one of the best places on Earth for animal viewing. Activities include nature hikes, horseback riding, canoeing, night walks, and photo safaris. Keep your eyes open for giant otters, caimans, capybaras, and a dazzling variety of birds.
Day 10 – Araras Lodge – Rio de Janeiro
Early sunrise walk followed by breakfast. Transfer to Cuiabá Airport for your flight back to Rio de Janeiro. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure.
Day 11 – Rio de Janeiro
Full-day city tour including Rio’s most famous landmarks. Ride the two-stage cable car up to Sugar Loaf Mountain for panoramic views of the city and Guanabara Bay. Continue to Corcovado Mountain to admire the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue overlooking Rio.
Day 12 – Rio de Janeiro
Transfer to the airport for your homebound flight or optional beach extension in Rio.
