ITINERARY:
Day 1 – Rio de Janeiro
Transfer from the airport to the hotel in an exclusive vehicle with bilingual guide assistance. Later, enjoy a bike tour focusing on the southern part of the city. Start at Copacabana Beach and continue to Urca neighborhood. After a stop at Praia Vermelha, the tour proceeds through Botafogo and ends with a ride around Lagoa, the scenic city lake surrounded by green hills and elegant neighborhoods.
Day 2 – Rio de Janeiro
Begin the day with a walking tour through the artistic Santa Teresa neighborhood. Starting at the Cine Odeon movie theater, head uphill to this charming district filled with art studios, vintage houses, and cobblestone streets. Visit the famous Selarón Steps, a colorful masterpiece by artist Jorge Selarón.
Day 3 – Rio de Janeiro
Morning at leisure. In the afternoon, visit key Olympic Games legacies, including the Museum of Tomorrow, dedicated to sustainability and innovation. Continue to Cidade do Samba for an inside look at Rio’s world-famous Carnival preparations. Try on costumes, enjoy a caipirinha tasting, and take part in an authentic festivity at Pedra do Sal.
Day 4 – Rio de Janeiro
Join a full-day city tour with fellow travelers. Visit Sugar Loaf Mountain for stunning views, followed by lunch at a local restaurant. Then board the train to Corcovado Mountain through the lush Tijuca Forest to reach the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue.
Day 5 – Rio de Janeiro
Discover Tijuca National Park, visiting the Vista Chinesa viewpoint, Taunay Waterfall, and hiking up to Tijuca Peak. Later, explore the sustainable community of Vale Encantado in the Alto da Boa Vista region, known for its environmental projects and innovative urban development.
Day 6 – Rio de Janeiro – Paraty
Travel from Rio de Janeiro to Paraty (shared transfer, Portuguese-speaking driver). Upon arrival, explore Paraty’s colonial charm on a guided walking tour of its historical center.
Day 7 – Paraty
Set sail on a schooner cruise with other international travelers. Enjoy swimming and snorkeling at three different stops, with an optional on-board lunch (not included).
Day 8 – Paraty
Join a Jeep adventure through Serra da Bocaina National Park, following the historic Gold Trail. Visit waterfalls such as Tobogã, Tarzan’s, and Pedra Branca, and stop by the Engenho D’Ouro cachaça distillery for tastings and a look at the production process.
Day 9 – Paraty
Embark on a horseback riding excursion through Bocaina National Park. Ride trained horses suitable for all levels, with opportunities to swim in waterfalls. Later, visit the ITAE Social Project, which supports local youth through art, sports, and education.
Day 10 – Paraty – Ilha Grande
Private transfer to Conceição de Jacareí or Angra dos Reis, followed by a shared flex boat ride to Abraão Village on Ilha Grande. Upon arrival, a guide will escort you to your pousada. Enjoy a historical and cultural walking tour with a local guide.
Day 11 – Ilha Grande
Sail from Abraão Pier to Lagoa Azul on a schooner cruise. Swim in crystal-clear waters and stop at Japariz Beach for leisure or lunch at a local restaurant (not included). Continue past Enseada das Estrelas, Saco do Céu, and Camiranga Beach.
Day 12 – Ilha Grande
Full day at leisure to relax or explore on your own.
Day 13 – Ilha Grande – Rio de Janeiro
Transfer by boat and private car back to Rio de Janeiro for your departure flight or an optional extension.
