12 Days/ 11 Nights 

Itinerary

Day 1 Lima

Arrival in Lima. You will be picked up at the airport and transferred to your hotel, the Antigua Miraflores.

Day 2 Lima

City tour through the colonial parts of Lima, including a visit of the San Francisco church and the Museum of Gastronomy, the first museum in Peru dedicated exclusively to the history Peruvian cuisine. Take a culinary walk through Barranco with many gastronomic stops.

Day 3 Lima – Cusco – Sacred Valley

Flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, pick up at the airport and scenic drive to the Sacred Valley. On the way, visit Pisac and take part in an empanada workshop. Next stop is the Potato Park, where everything revolves around the origin of the potato and the rich diversity Peru has to offer. Transfer to the La Casona de Yucay.

Day 4 Sacred Valley

Visit Moray and its pre-Inca platforms, before having a local dish, Pachamanca, for lunch. Continue to the Inca ruins of Ollantaytambo and visit a typical home in the area. End your tour of the Sacred Valley with an Andean Distillery Experience. Return to your hotel after.

Day 5 Sacred Valley – Aguas Calientes

Transfer to the train station to take the Vistadome train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes. A shuttle bus takes you up to Machu Picchu, the most famous ruin site in South America. Enjoy a guided tour at “the lost city of the Incas” and lunch at a local restaurant. Dinner and overnight at El MaPi Hotel by Inkaterra.

Day 6 Aguas Calientes – Cusco

Free morning for an optional second visit of Machu Picchu. Return to Ollantaytambo by train followed by a transfer to Cusco. Overnight at Hotel Abittare.

Day 7 Cusco

Take part in a cooking class to learn about Peruvian gastronomy. On a city tour, visit Cusco’s most important Incan and Colonial landmarks, like Korikancha and the Cathedral. Visit San Pedro market and the fortress ruins of Sacsayhuaman.

Day 8 Cusco – Lima

Transfer from your hotel to the airport for your flight to Lima. You will be picked up and taken to your hotel, the Antigua Miraflores. Then you will be driven to Tio Mario Restaurant for dinner. Take a stroll through Barranco for a special dessert and return to your hotel.

Day 9 Lima – Ica

Public bus ride (5h, no guide assistance) or private transfer (depending on group size) to Ica, south of Lima. Arrival at Hotel Viñas Queirolo, located in the Ica valley. Tour of the Vineyard, Wine and Pisco tasting, as well as dinner at the hotel.

Day 10 Ica – Paracas

Transfer to Downtown Ica for a city tour. Explore the Regional Museum and learn how Tejas and Chocotejas are typically prepared. End your tour at the Oasis Huacachina. Transfer to Paracas and your hotel, the Aranwa Resort and Spa.

Day 11 Paracas – Lima

Excursion to the Ballestas Islands by speedboat. See animals in their natural habitat and catch unforgettable views. Optional: Fly over the mysterious Nasca Lines. Then, transfer to your hotel in Lima, the Antigua Miraflores. You will be driven to Cala Restaurant for a delicious farewell dinner. Return to your hotel after.

Day 12 Lima

Transfer to the airport for homebound flight.
