Itinerary
Day 1 Buenos Aires
Arrival at the airport of Buenos Aires and transfer to the hotel. On your first day, you go on a city tour that includes all the important sights. During the tour, you stop at Café Tortoni for a cup of coffee and a snack. In the evening, you enjoy the “Welcome to Argentina” culinary experience.
Day 2 Buenos Aires
Today, you explore the northern part of the city. After the tour, you visit the Evita Museum that is devoted to the life and work of Argentina’s former first lady María Eva Duarte de Perón. Optional: Porteño Home-Hosted Dinner.
Day 3 Buenos Aires
On a full day tour, you explore the town of San Antonio de Areco. Enjoy activities such as a guided walking tour, a silversmith workshop, a horseback or carriage ride and a visit to a local ranch. The excursion includes a delicious Argentinean barbecue lunch (asado).
Day 4 Buenos Aires
Day at leisure to relax or explore the city. Optional: Visit of the Colon Theatre or private tango lesson or Palermo Soho Walk and Shop or cooking class “Con gusto a Casa” or Delta Island Day. At night, you get a taste of local pizza at a traditional pizzeria and visit a milonga, a local dance hall.
Day 5 Buenos Aires
Salta Transfer to the airport and flight to Salta. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. You embark on a city orientation walk before enjoying a Salteño welcome dinner as well as a folklore show in the evening.
Day 6 Salta
Today, you discover the secrets of local cuisine on a gastronomic tour including a visit to San Miguel Market and the preparation of some delicious snacks.
Day 7 Salta
Cafayate You leave Salta and head towards Cafayate. Along this panoramic route, you make several stops, including at the Calchaquí Valley, the National Park Los Cardones and the small village Cachi.
Day 8 Cafayate
Salta In the morning, you visit the crafts market and some local wineries, where a wine tasting and lunch are included. En route back to Salta, you cross the Natural Monument Quebrada del Rio Las Conchas.
Day 9 Salta
On a full day tour, you head to Purmamarca, visiting the Cerro de Siete Colores (Hill of Seven Colors) and the salt flats Salinas Grandes on the way. Time at leisure in Purmamarca before returning to Salta.
Day 10 Salta
Iguazú Transfer to the airport and flight to Puerto Iguazú. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel.
Day 11 Iguazú
After breakfast, you visit the Argentinean side of the Iguazú Falls. Optional: Visit of a local Guarani community or Great Adventure Tour, which includes a boat trip on the Iguazú river beneath the waterfalls.
Day 12 Iguazú
Day at leisure. Optional: Tour to the Brazilian side of the Iguazú Falls.
Day 13 Iguazú
Buenos Aires Transfer to the airport and flight to Buenos Aires. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel.
Day 14 Buenos Aires
Day at leisure. The optional activities from day 4 are also bookable today. In the evening, you enjoy a shared tango lesson, a farewell dinner and a Tango Show at Tango Porteño.
Day 15 Buenos Aires
Transfer to the airport for your homebound flight.
