Nepal Tour/Trek for the Adventure Lover

11 Days / 10 Nights

ITINERARY:

Day 1: Arrival at Kathmandu Airport (1400m). You will be met at the airport by our staff and transferred to your hotel. A briefing about the tour will be given by the manager.

Day 2: Kathmandu. After breakfast around 10 AM, your guide will pick you up from the hotel for sightseeing at Kathmandu Durbar Square (Kasthamandap), Living Goddess, Monkey Temple, and Thamel (tourist area).

About this trek: About two-thirds of trekkers visit the Annapurna region. The trek includes some challenging sections. On the way to Ghorepani, you’ll climb a staircase consisting of 3,300 steps and encounter many rocky, uphill trails. However, the effort is rewarded with stunning views of the Annapurna South, Nilgiri, Hiunchuli, Machapuchre (Fishtail Mountain), the Dhaulagiri mountain range, and Tukuche Peak.

You’ll follow the river east, passing lowland rice fields and dense jungles, where you can see monkeys playing and many species of birds. The trek then ascends to higher ground, passing through traditional villages where you can experience the Nepali culture and local delicacies.

Day 3: Pokhara (approx. 730m to 1000m). Travel by private transport with your trekking guide to Pokhara (approx. 6 hours).

Day 4: Start of the Annapurna area Ghorepani Trek. Drive to Nayapul (1010m/1.5 hours) and trek to Tikhedunga (1570m/3.5 hours). After breakfast, we drive early in the morning to Nayapul, the starting point of our trek. We follow the river, passing lowland rice fields, local villages, and a small waterfall. We reach Tikhedunga and our teahouse for the night.

Day 5: Trek to Ghorepani (2860m/5 hours). Today, we climb to Ulleri, where you’ll have magnificent views of Annapurna South (7219m) and Hiunchuli. Later, we’ll also see Fishtail Mountain. After conquering the thousands of steps, the trail becomes easier as we pass Banthati and walk through the rhododendron forest. Overnight at a teahouse (mountain hotel).

Day 6: Hike up to Poon Hill (3210m/1.5 hours) and trek to Tadapani (2660m/4 hours). An early morning hike to the top of Poon Hill will reward you with spectacular sunrise views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. After breakfast, we descend to Tadapani through pine and rhododendron forests. Overnight in a teahouse.

Day 7: Trek to Ghandruk (1940m/3 hours). We start the day on flat ground to Bhaisi Kharka before a steep descent to Ghandruk. Ghandruk offers sensational views of Fishtail Mountain (6993m), Annapurna III, Gangapurna, Annapurna South, and Himchuli (6441m). While staying in Ghandruk, a trip to the local monastery and Gurung museum is well worth a visit. This area is home to the Gurung caste, many of whom have served in the British Gorkha Army.

Day 8: Trek to Nayapul (1010m/4 hours) and drive to Pokhara (850m/1.5 hours). A gentle descent back to Nayapul following the Modi River and a short drive to Pokhara.

Day 9: Pokhara. Rest day with a trip to the World Peace Pagoda, boating, and sightseeing.

Day 10: Fly out from Pokhara. Flight time is approximately 30 minutes. Check-in at the hotel, followed by shopping and packing. In the evening, enjoy a complimentary Nepali dinner with a cultural dance performance courtesy of Yeti Global Adventure.

Day 11: Transfer to the airport for your final destination.
