ITINERARY:

December 26: Day 1 – Bogotá Arrival in the city: Assistance at El Dorado International Airport and transfer to the hotel for check-in. In the evening, transfer to Andrés Carne de Res DC, one of the city’s iconic restaurants, where you can enjoy its delicious cuisine, great nightlife, and the city’s culture. At the end of the night, return to the hotel. Accommodation.

Duration: 5 hours.

This day includes: Airport-hotel transfer, shared transportation, Spanish-speaking guide, cover charge, consumption voucher (welcome drink and shared table service), accommodation, and medical card.

December 27: Day 2 – Bogotá City Tour + Monserrate: Breakfast at the hotel. At the agreed time, the City Tour of Bogotá’s historic center, also known as “La Candelaria,” will begin. During the tour, you will visit the Gold Museum, where you will see around 34,000 pre-Hispanic gold pieces and more than 25,000 pre-Columbian objects. Then, you will visit the Mint and the Botero Donation, where works by the renowned Colombian artist Fernando Botero are exhibited, showcasing his expertise in various artistic techniques such as painting, drawing, and sculpture. The tour will continue with a panoramic visit to Bolívar Square (The Primatial Cathedral, The Nariño House, The Liévano Palace, and The Palace of Justice). Finally, the tour will conclude with a trip up to Monserrate. Return to the hotel. Accommodation.

Duration: 7 hours

This day includes: Shared transportation, Spanish-speaking guide, entrance to the Gold Museum, Mint, Botero Donation, ascent to Monserrate, snack, accommodation, and medical assistance card.

Important Note: The Gold Museum is closed on Mondays; the Mint and Botero Donation are closed on Tuesdays.

December 28: Day 3 – Medellín Light Tour: Breakfast at the hotel. At the agreed time, transfer to El Dorado International Airport to take the flight (not included) to the city of Medellin. Upon arrival, reception at Rafael Núñez International Airport and transfer to the hotel for check-in.

In the afternoon, assistance at the hotel to begin and enjoy the lights (walking tour), a magical tour of Medellín, where the city is transformed by millions of Christmas lights. Enjoy this spectacular guided night tour, visiting well-lit local attractions such as the Parque de las Luces and the Medellín River. Return to the hotel and accommodation.

Duration: 6 hours (Light Tour).

Departure time: 5:00 pm

This day includes: Airport-hotel transfer, accommodation at the chosen hotel, shared transportation, light tour, Spanish-speaking guide, snack, and medical assistance card. 

December 29: Day 4 – Medellín – Peñol and Guatapé: Breakfast at the hotel. At the agreed time, we will enjoy and marvel at the municipality of Nuevo Peñol and Guatapé, discovering the beauty of the replica of Viejo Peñol and enjoying the unique view of the reservoir from a boat. Then, you will experience stunning landscapes from the top of the Peñol Rock (Ascent not included, payable at the destination). We will then take a tour of some of the picturesque streets of Guatapé, the baseboards on building facades, and the boardwalk. You will also visit local artisan shops (Plazoleta de los Zócalos). There will be time to enjoy a typical regional lunch. Return to Medellín and accommodation.

This day includes: Hotel transfer – meeting point – hotel, shared transportation, Spanish-speaking guide, visit to the mentioned locations, typical lunch at a local restaurant, medical assistance card, and accommodation.

Not included: Ascent to Peñol Rock (purchased at destination).

December 30: Day 5 – Medellín – Departure to Cartagena: Breakfast at the hotel. At the agreed time, transfer to José María Córdova International Airport to take the flight (not included) to the city of Cartagena. Upon arrival, reception at Rafael Núñez International Airport and transfer to the hotel for check-in.

This day includes: Transfer from the chosen hotel to the airport in Medellín, airport-hotel transfer in Cartagena, airport assistance, accommodation, and medical assistance.

December 31: Day 6 – Cartagena – Walking Tour: Breakfast at the hotel. At the designated time, we will begin the tour, starting at the Plaza de Santa Teresa, highlighting the colonial buildings from the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries, along with a section of the city walls (San Francisco Javier Bastion). The tour continues with a brief guided visit to the San Pedro Claver Church. Next, you will pass by Plaza de la Aduana, Plaza de los Inquisition. The tour includes a visit to the Gold Museum and continues to the Santo Domingo, where the Café del Mar restaurant is located, to enjoy the sunset. The tour continues along the city wall, reaching Plaza de la Merced and then passing through several streets until arriving at the Las Bóvedas Artisan Center. After the tour, we will transfer back to the hotel for accommodation.

In the evening, there is the option to attend the San Silvestre party (not included; please inquire about the price).

Duration: 03 hours (Walking Tour) 

This day includes: Transfer hotel – meeting point – hotel, Spanish speaking guide, visit to San Pedro Claver, medical assistance card and lodging.

01 January: Day 7 Cartagena – Free day: Breakfast at the hotel. Time to enjoy the hotel. 

This day is not scheduled as it is a date where our operators take it as a non-working day. This day includes: Medical assistance card and lodging.

02 January: Day 8 Cartagena – sunset by the bay: Breakfast at the hotel. In the afternoon assistance at the hotel to transfer to the pier for a tour of the bay of Cartagena de Indias to appreciate the sunset. At the end of the tour, return to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel. 

Duration: 90 minutes

This day includes: transfer hotel – pier – hotel, open bar of Cuba Libre, rum punch, lemonade, water and soda.

Not included: Premium drinks and snacks on board (additional charge), dock tax 5 USD per person.

03 January: Day 9 Cartagena – Return Home: Breakfast at the hotel. At the agreed time, transfer to Rafael Nuñez International Airport to take flight (NOT included) to next destination or city of origin or return home.

This day includes: transfer hotel – airport and medical assistance card.
