ITINERARY:
Day 1: Welcome to Guatemala. On arrival to Guatemala City you will be met by STP Guatemala stafffor the transfer to Antigua. (x 2 nights). Hotel SUP: Casa Santo Domingo. Hotel FIRST: Villa Colonial
Day 2: Antigua Guatemala + Coffee Farm (B). Visit Antigua Guatemala, a colonial city declared by UNESCO “Cultural Heritage of Humankind”. We begin in Antigua’s Historic Centre, starting from the Main Plaza and visiting the main monuments of the city and La Azotea Coffee Farm.
Day 3: Chichicastenango Indigenous Market (B). Departure to Chichicastenango, where you will see the most colorful and picturesque outdoor market in Guatemala. In the afternoon continue to Lake Atitlán; short visit of Panajachel. Hotel SUP: Porta del Lago. Hotel FIRST: Villa Santa Catarina
Day 4: Santiago Atitlán + San Juan (B). Lake Atitlán is considered one of the most beautiful lakes in the World. Today you will visit Santiago Atitlán and San Juan La Laguna. Departure in the morning by boat to the Maya-Tzutuhil village of Santiago Atitlán, famous for Maximón, a character that is widely worshiped by the inhabitants of Santiago. The town also offers a variety of handicrafts, colorful textiles, woodcarvings and naïf paintings. Continue by boat to San Juan La Laguna (town visit + local indigenous cooperatives). Transfer again by boat to Panajachel and In the afternoon drive to Guatemala City.
Day 5: See you soon (B). At the time specified, transfer to the airport.
